On studentmarks.com you will be able to upload and download your marks in both Access and Excel formats. You will be able to use tests set by others and to capture and alter these tests. However, captured tests will, if saved, be credited to the originator in the trainer listings. You can elect to make your tests private for as long as you like and if you decide to share them your name will appear next to your listed tests for all time.

Studentmarks will also allow the collation of marks from one or more institutions and the trainer need only fill in the correct zip/post code on Enlisting (and elect to give this permission) for this combined system to become functional. The breakdown of discipline in schools must be tackled with immediate OBJECTIVE monitoring of class effort in every lesson, and their devotion and love of the subject as shown in their written work (homework and class work needs to be marked in this way - ie. effort based) plus the normal class tests which can be done online using this system (and traditional testing and marking).

The need for exam centers and invigilators is the usual difficulty and schools should offer their facilities to these institutions and encourage their own students to sit these meaningful online exams.

Many top and established accredited universities have or will be turning to online education, and their students will be all over the world - the need for training centers and exam venues will determine the new role of schools in the future. Those writing exams and using school resources will have to pay the school and invigilators for these services.

Corruption in education is rife - the teacher who "knows the kind of questions that will be asked" - the teacher who "knows the way the examiner marks". Like insider dealing this is all corruption. The deliberate withholding or distortion of information where a syllabus might be described in excessive detail with the core details effectively concealed but given to the chosen few.

Many institutions - including well known universities - are effectively selling their qualifications with financially compromised but very capable students left with no way of having their true worth acknowledged. Foreign students paying exorbitant fees are seldom failed, while many online study groups are unable to have their qualifications recognized at all.

Students should pay for tutoring but assessment should be cheap and freely available. Those not reaching the required standard would need to return to online study until they were ready to be tested once again. These control tests should be randomly selected from a large pool of questions. The syllabus needs to be defined by a range of "typical exam questions" and freely available past questions and not just by a series of points.

This site is not profit driven since we believe that assessment should not be costly, and we cannot grant qualifications which require the assessment of written or practical student submissions, rather this is a means of justifying and standardizing the grades awarded by online study organizations.

It is possible we all completely misunderstand the purpose of education in that subjectively assessed project work can teach the student how to get others to do all the work and yet take full credit themselves. Subjective assessment can also sustain the status quo or class system and continue to exclude outsiders and those deemed culturally inferior.
